On the army base, there is a child daycare for young kids, as well as a separate one for school age kids with sports teams, etc. They have a lot of strict rules and forms and immunizations you have to complete before you can get them in so it has taken us awhile to finish it up and have it ready for him to go.
I had him go for the first time today for two hours. We had already been here once before to sign him up and he was so mad he couldn't go play in the rooms and on the playground. So it wasn't a surprise to me that he could not get out of my arms fast enough when I lifted him out of the car. These pictures I could barely catch of him cuz he was literally darting into the building. Needless to say, he absolutely LOVED it. But maybe that was before he realized I would be leaving him. We'll see how he does on Thursday.
He got a little sidetracked by the wagon of Easter eggs, but then headed straight into the front doors when he saw someone come out of them.
When I got there to pick him up, he didn't want to leave. He just wanted me to walk around with him to show me stuff. He sat down on the little benches where storytime was, then he showed me a few of the toys. I had to drag him out of there. hehe.
I'm so glad this is turning out to be a good thing. I was already very excited for him to go and I think he'll really benefit from being around other kids...seeing them do things that will help with his development. Plus it gives him an opportunity to have some fun playtime. It also gives me some time to go to the gym, run errands, etc.

That is so cute. I love his little back pack. How fun for him to have somewhere to go that is just for him. I love that he wanted to show you everything. That reminds me of my kinders after the first day of school. He is turning into such a big boy!
how fun! moms definitely need their alone time and it makes it much easier if our babies don't mind what they get to do while we do our thing. so glad to hear he likes it!
