Spencer's Teeth Surgery

Many of you know Spencer had to have dental surgery to fix his really bad teeth he was born with.  We were a bit nervous because he had to be put under general anesthesia for 3 hours.  But the doctor's office was so rad!  This is the waiting room.  It had video games, all kinds of toys and amazing murals on the walls.

We were waiting in here until his "loopy" medicine kicked in so they could put an IV in him.  It made him not too unhappy when they had to lay him in the dental chair/table.  They found out one of his favorite movies was  Winnie the Pooh Heffalump Movie and they had it on a flat screen TV on the ceiling for him to watch while they prepared him.

This is him after he woke up.  He was still pretty groggy and wanted to still keep sleeping. We had to wake him up. :)  It was so cute and he was so helpless, yet gentle.  He just wanted to snuggle up with me and eat his Go-Gurt since he hadn't eaten all day.

The surgery went well.  They said he did really great.  He was under anesthesia for about three hours.  We had to actually wake him up.  I think he was thinking it was naptime by the time we had to wake him up. He was not super thrilled to be awake but we kinda wanted to go home. All in all, a success! Thank you to everyone for your prayers!

What a sad thing for him! I am so grateful for places like this that cater to children and want nothing more than for them to feel safe. I am glad that he did so well!

So pretty pictures of the two of you!

How did the operation go? Does it need others?
